Welcome to Mindful Yoga 

 

At Mindful Yoga we offer classes which combine mindfulness based stress reduction techniques with gentle asana, yogic breathing and meditation. Kyla has been working with people living with mental health issues for the past 10 yrs, and is a dedicated and careful Level 2 Yoga Teacher and is a member of Yoga Australia.

 

Kyla has developed a method of practicing yoga and meditation over the past 25yrs while living with PTSD to help students develop a tool kit of practices that work for them to manage their mental wellbeing.

Kyla has been very inspired by Hatha & Raja yoga, Chakra & Kundalini yoga, Pre-natal yoga, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, Bikram yoga and Iyenga Yoga, as well as Zen Buddhist meditation and Burmese Buddhist meditation techniques since 1992. Kyla also holds a Bachelor Degree in Counselling and worked as a mental health counsellor for 10yrs.
